Evergem, Belgium

We are Stefan, Marjan, Tars (12) and Briek (9).
Our cozy light filled house is located in a quiet new build residential area about 10km from Gent.
Downstairs you'll find the hallway with separate toilet, the living room and open kitchen with a garden view window.
On the first floor you'll find a master bedroom with a 160x200cm bed, a smaller bedroom with 1 single bed, and a bigger bedroom with 2 single beds, a separate toilet, the bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.
On the second floor we have a multifunctional room where we dry the laundry, have a desk and have Marjan's creative space with a bunch of dried flowers. There is enough space to put up extra beds if needed.
We have a lot of toys, board games and puzzels (1000pcs).
In the living room we have a big cage with to cute gerbils. They don't need a lot of work. Just check if they have water and food. You can hand feed them some nuts if you want but you won't be able to pick them up or hold them. No need to clean the cage as we will do this before departure and is only needed every 2 months.

Our modest garden has a trampoline, a self build play tower and a hammock.
A sunny wooden terrace and a big tree where you can enjoy some shadow if needed.
If wanted you can cut some fresh flowers from the garden to make a bouquet.
By summer time we will also have 4 chickens to take care off.

We have a carport were you can park the car and 2 electrical adult bikes, a mountainbike for 10-15 years old, and a mountainbike for 8-10 years old. We also have an electrical cargo bike (Urban Arrow).

Belgium is a small country with an outsized charm, offering a rich blend of history, culture, cuisine, and beautiful landscapes.
One of the main reasons to visit Belgium is its stunning historic cities.

Ghent, just 10 km away, blends rich history with a vibrant youthful atmosphere. The city features a stunning medieval old town, scenic canals, and landmarks such as the impressive Gravensteen Castle and beautiful Gothic churches. With its excellent food scene and lively culture, Ghent offers an authentic experience without the crowds of larger cities.

Cities such as Bruges, Brussels, and Antwerp are about a 1h drive away.
Same for the Belgian or Dutch coast.
We prefer the Dutch coast as there is more nature, no high buildings and a few great restaurants on the beach.

10 minutes walking from our home you'll find Kasteel van Wippelgem, it's a castle with a small parc, a small forest and a tearoom.
