A country estate in the California delta, 1 1/4 hour from San Francisco.
In the Northern California countryside, a 100 acre vineyard farm, with a swimming pond with a shady beach, and MUCH lawn (the sprinklers are almost always running!). The area is rural agriculture, and a River runs through the nearby small town, the Sacramento River. *This river is how people got to Gold Country during the Gold Rush in the 1840-50s. The old gold towns are about an hour away and very charming, everyone wants to see them. They are on your way to our second home in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. The city of Sacramento is the Capital of California and just 30 minutes away. World famous Napa Valley is an hour away, both cities have excellent restaurants (our small town of Walnut Grove doesn't have much I'm sorry to say, But one good one just up the river.
The home has 5 bedrooms with a queen in each, and some have twins too. There are three bathrooms on 2nd and 3rd floors, and one small bathroom on the first floor for quick use when outdoors. I will get photos of the inside of the house soon.
We have a second home also which you are welcome to use (one of the photos), on world-famous Lake Tahoe, 2 3/4 hours away. It has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a 180 degree view of the lake from the large deck, and a neighborhood beach on the lake. It is a humble house with a magnificent view.
The trails beckon in Desolation Wilderness near the home. Bikes are for rent nearby, a paved bike trail around the lake starts near the home.

About Our Family
Hi.
I'm Robyn. We did numerous home exchanges with Intervac in the 1990s and just becoming a member again, it's very exciting. My three grown daughters and I would like to exchange a home this summer, July -August for about two weeks, preferably the end of July-mid August. *If you would like a longer visit in our homes, that would be fine in July. We would need 4 bedrooms, 5 great.
My daughters have three children among them, all well behaved and well parented.
We would take excellent care of your home, as you would of ours. I/we have done numerous exchanges and have never had a problem with a guest- we are all so respectful of each others' homes.
Sincerely,
Robyn Brown Burrows
Lifestyle
It is a bucolic, relaxing, lifestyle. Only one horse right now, and no bikes right now either(I'm sorry!) though you could rent them in Sacramento for your entire vacation.
The architecture is a combination of French and English, Robyn's family of both English and French descent. The interior of the home is furnished mainly with antiques. There's a grand piano, and a cello and violin which can no longer be played. We've given many classical music concerts in the grand room.
Many weddings are held here on the estate, managed by eldest daughter.
I will write more soon.
