Beautiful Home in cozy neighborhood, Quiet & close to downtown, mountains, river, many attractions

Our home is a comfortable, Arts & Crafts-style, built 2006, three-bedroom home with two stories. We enjoy plenty of natural light in our home powered by solar panels. Our neighborhood with 51 homes is surrounded by wooded area. During the winter we have a mountain view.

First floor has a large open kitchen and living room area with adjacent dining room. Open kitchen has electric stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker, fridge, fully furnished with ample counter space. Downstairs office has desk, large comfortable chair and music system. Master bedroom has a queen bed, closetspace, and window overlooking large back deck. Master bath adjoins with separate large size tub, walk-in shower with two small seats, along with two sinks. Laundry room has side-by-side washer and dryer. Back deck is accessed through kitchen.

Upstairs holds two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds, as well as a full bath with tub/shower combo.

You will enter our home up two steps to the covered porch with comfortable furniture and one more step into the front door. Our friend in a wheelchair just needed assistance up those three steps to enjoy our main floor and back deck.

Our back deck is large and includes comfortable patio seating and small tables with umbrellas and seasonal hammock. Great views overlooking the playground and grassy common area where dogs and children frolic. Back yard is in progress with plentiful seasonal flowers. You are welcome to enjoy our two types of apples, figs, Asian pears, and berries in season. Autumn brings brilliant foliage all around the area with our maple tree as a favorite for many people. Birdsong greets us most of the year. Our smart television offers netflix, prime, and spectrum basic cable stations.

We're located next to the neighborhood's playground and open space. Friendly neighbors. As grandparents, we keep a couple of booster seats for the car which also work in kitchen chairs. We have a few games and lots of children's books.

The home is in West Asheville is a cool part of our greater metro area whose population is 371,000. West Asheville provides wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, a tea house, many boutique shops, and several grocery stores within easy 10 minutes or less drive. We are a 15-minute drive to the French Broad River with its numerous greenways, bike trails, parks for a stroll or long hike, and delightful River Arts District. Downtown is about a 20 minute drive and offers abundant opportunities for excellent dining of all types, shopping, and entertainment. We appreciate the small town feeling of Asheville with its metropolitan feel. The Blue Ridge Parkway offers changing, stunning beauty year long.

Exploring the town and the surrounding area is why people visit Asheville. In downtown Asheville you will find live theater performances at the Asheville Community Theater; Live music of all types (especially Bluegrass) at a dozen venues; Street festivals throughout the year; the Asheville Art Museum; a 'million' microbreweries for tasting, variety of good food to please the foodies, and entertainment; Galleries exhibiting the work of craftspeople in woodworking, ceramics, painting, glasswork, basketry, and jewelry.

And don't forget the 250-room Biltmore House, the N.C. Arboretum, and the hikes along the nearby Appalachian trail and in the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll never be able to see it all, but you'll have fun trying.

We have lots of information on the surrounding area and can offer you information on sites we share with our friends and family when they visit.
