La Vallée de la Loire ,connue comme « le jardin de la France »a été la résidence favorite des rois de France durant la renaissance. ils ont fait de cette douce région le décor et le théâtre de leurs rêves . Venez découvrir les châteaux de la Loire, visiter le 1er parc du monde (Puy du Fou, (http://www.puydufou.com/), randonner à vélo ou à pieds sur les sentiers de bord de Loire (GR 3), vous baigner dans l'océan Atlantique à 1 heure 30 de la maison (les Sables d'Olonnes ou la Baule, 1ière plage d'Europe).
C'est la région des châteaux royaux ,des musées, mais aussi des manoirs , des abbayes ,des prieurés ,des cathédrales.

The Château d'Angers and its spectacular tapestry of the Apocalypse; the tallest château in the whole of France located at Brissac Quincé and a visit to la Maison de Loire en Anjou at Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire, where you can learn all about one of Europe’s greatest and most majestic rivers.
It is the river of kings, chateaux and vineyards. For centuries, this great and majestic flow has watched history unfold.
Today, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this mighty waterway still holds many hidden surprises. You can explore it by river shuttle and bicycle, following the impressive and specially constructed cycle pathway that runs along its banks. On the other hand, you can simply take a stroll; but rest assured the pace of life is always gentle!

We had a great experience exchanging with Thierry. HIs house was lovely with a super pool and garden and all beautifully kept. We used his car, looked after his cat and were very fortunate that his daughter came to collect us and return us to the airport. We had a really good time in France, we got to see lots of the area and Thierry's recommendations were good too. We would recommend exchanging with this family and would not hesitate to do it again. Communication was good and everything went very well.
Our home exchange with Brenda and Kieren went very well. Their house is very pleasant to live in. They and their two sons were exceptionally kind. I would recommend doing exchanges with them.

I have been a member of Intervac since 1989 and have just resubscribed after a few years' break following the death of my wife.
I have four daughters (31, 28 and two 22 year old twins), who rarely travel with me.
With my friend Nathalie, we love to travel in France and abroad, mainly in regions offering beautiful hikes.
Our 180 m² house is very recent (2021). It is located in a very pleasant commune, where the GR 3 (hiking trail of the Loire) passes. A swimming pool is available in the garden. On the ground floor, there is a living room of 65 m², as well as a kitchen, a back kitchen, a master suite (with a very comfortable bed of 160 x 190) and a bathroom. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and a bathroom with bathtub.
Anjou is a very pleasant region with lots to do. The town of Angers, 12 kilometres away, is often referred to as France's premier city for its quality of life.
We are also 50 minutes from the Puy du Fou and 1.5 hours from the sea.
The Anjou is a tourist region, with beautiful vineyards and castles. Angers, renowned for its quality of life, is a city that knows how to have fun throughout its events, around its good food and its wines. We will be happy to welcome you and give you all the good ideas to spend a pleasant stay.
